The Mercury Insurance Open presented by Tri-City Medical Center has launched a special Valentine’s Day ticket offer in celebration of Kim Clijsters’ Grand Slam singles victory at the Australian Open. The 2011 Mercury Insurance Open will take place July 30 through August 7, 2011 at the La Costa Resort and Spa.
“I am very excited to return to San Diego for the first time since Mercury Insurance brought tennis back to La Costa,” said Clijsters. “The fans have always been amazing, and I can’t wait to compete there as I prepare to defend my US Open championship.”

“We want to say ‘congratulations’ to Kim on her recent victory,” said Raquel Giscafre, Mercury Insurance Open tournament director. “Her win in Australia adds a lot of buzz here in San Diego as we all anxiously await her return.”
