World No.5 Andy Murray was taken by surprise today by Marcos Baghdatis at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. The Cypriot overcame the Brit in two straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
It was Murray’s first tournament since losing to Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open final. Murray will play in the doubles event in Rotterdam with his brother Jamie today (Thursday). Andy and Jamie will face French team Benneteau and Tsonga.
No.8 seed Jo-Wilfired Tsonga overcame Michael Llodra in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Russian Mikhail Youzhny took out Spain’s Marcel Granollers 6-2, 7-6(6)
