Tommy Robredo had to work hard to claim his 10th ATP World Tour title. Robredo fought back against Santiago Giraldo of Colombia, winning 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (5).
Robredo has not won a title since winning back to back titles in 2009. The 28-year old Spaniard is currently ranked No. 40 on the ATP World Tour ranking. Robredo used to be ranked number five in the world but has not been able to find form in the last couple of years.
Today was Santiago Giraldo’s first final. The Colombian was serving for the match in the third set but Robredo broke back winning the third set in a tiebreak. If Giraldo had won today, he would have been the first Colombian to win an ATP World Tour title since 1995 when Mauricio Hadad won in Bermuda.
