Dick Norman and Horia Tecau won the title at the PBZ Zagreb Indoors on Sunday. This is the their first tournament and they took out the top seeds Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez 6-3, 6-4 in the final.
Norman and Tecau did not face one single break point in the match that lasted 70 minutes. Tecau has had a good start to the year making the finals of the Brisbane tournament with Robert Lindstedt. Unfortunately, they had to pull out in the final because of Lindstedt’s calf injury that later saw him pull out of the Australian Open.
This is Dick Norman’s first title since winning S’-Hertogenbosch in 2009. Norman/Tecau will share €22.000.
Horia said, “We played a really good match to win today in the final. It’s the first time I’ve played together with Dick so I’d like to thank him for the week. We played good tennis all tournament, we had fun and enjoyed being in Zagreb.”
