Last night was a very exciting match, we watched from the players box of Andy Murray with Caroline Wozniacki (she wanted to watch to learn and observe after her loss on Thursday) and Mats! It took Andy 3:30 hours to beat Ferrer!
This morning I was lucky again to sleep in! I took advantage of the beautiful weather to have another run along the Yara River!
Mats and I headed to the site for a practice with Caroline (her last one before her departure to Israel, to represent her country)! We decided to stay indoors and keep the training to ourselves!
At 1:30 Esther was warming up for her final against the local favorite Dani Di Toro! Maikel Scheffers was so kind to warm-up Esther to have the best prep for her challenge to win the Aussie open for the 8th time!
After the warm-up I headed to the final of the junior girls where one of our next generation players was competing for the singles title of 2011! Unfortunately she lost but she has shown great fight and determination!
Esther won her final with convincing numbers against the number 2 player in the world 6-0 6-0 on Margeret Court Arena! After the match she had many interviews and even had a CNN interview later in the evening plus we both were requested for the live morning breakfast show on ABC Melbourne!
Tonight we had a wonderful, farewell dinner, together with Maria Kirilenko, Caroline Wozniacki and both of their parents plus some local friends!
I will not see them until Indian Wells as both of them are leaving tomorrow!
Mats and I are again invited by team Andy Murray to attend the Men’s Final at their Player Box!! Let’s make it happen!
