Eurosport will continue its longstanding association with the Australian Open after signing a new broadcasting agreement with Tennis Australia commencing from 2012.
Australian Open 2012 will mark the beginning of a new five-year agreement to broadcast the Grand Slam® of Asia-Pacific to more than 56 countries and 121 million homes across Europe.
The agreement means that Eurosport will have been broadcasting the Australian Open for more than twenty years.
The renewed agreement with Eurosport will bring multi-court coverage of the Australian Open on traditional and live streaming platforms to even more tennis fans around the world.
Tennis Australia CEO Steve Wood was delighted to continue its broadcast partnership with Eurosport and showcase the Australian Open to a wider global audience.
“This new agreement ensures that viewers in Europe will continue enjoying live extensive coverage of the Australian Open for many years to come,” Wood said.
