World No.1 Rafael Nadal today launched the latest Australian Open initiative, The Open Drive brought to you by Kia, as he handed over the keys to the 101-strong Kia fleet for the 2011 event.
The Open Drive will see some of the world’s top players participating in video interviews filmed inside Kia’s latest model, the sporty Kia Optima.
The Optima is fitted with a state-of-the-art camera system to film the player from a number of different angles. The hi-tech theme is carried through to the interview process, with players answering a series of questions presented to them via iPad.
Nadal was one of the first players involved in The Open Drive, conducting his interview on a trip from his hotel to Melbourne Park.
Fans can view the The Open Drive brought to you by Kia on www.australianopen.com and www.kia.com.au and interact with the players by suggesting questions through social media platforms facebook and twitter.
