Day 8 Departure for Melbourne |

Early start to pack the bags and have to catch up with the home front (time differences are always challenge but with a 10 hour gap it actually is workable)!

Last night we ended up having great time on the bridge walk! Mats and I got on the bridge around 8 and were down at 11 pm! I suggest this to you on your next visit to witness the spectacular views!

Caroline was first on this morning at 11 am but when we got to the site the rain had put a pause in our prep! Instead of warming up on center (which was full of water) we had to jump on one of the practice courts!

During her match, which was stopped at least 5 times because of rain, it was hard for Caroline to find her rhythm! She lost 3 and 3 to the same girl (Cibelkova) that Maria had with the same numbers!

Since the match was a below par performance we have decided to practice one more time to just clear the mind and finish the day on a good note!

That does mean that Mats and I will not be able to leave until a 10 pm flight which will get us in at 11:30 tonight and prepare for our first slam of the year!

So goodbye Sydney for another year!

To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.
